Carter & Rich
"I always wanted to do something
special to honor my childhood
friend, Carter Freund, as well as
three other classmates.

All had lost their lives in Vietnam.

I did not want anyone to forget
about them."

Richard Phannenstill

Cpl Glen P. Davis, US Marines, 2nd Tour

Phannenstill.  Rich was a crew chief and door gunner with the 121st Assault Helicopter
Company in Soc Trang, So. Vietnam in 1967 and is a disabled American Veteran.

Richard wanted to do something special to honor his friends and classmates who paid the
ultimate price for our freedom in Vietnam.

Made possible through the aid and donations of citizens, committee volunteers, McHenry
HS Class of 1964, McHenry VFW Post 4600, Mayor Low and the McHenry City Council and
other McHenry area veterans organizations.
